Staff Profiles
 
The staff at Sunnyside are comprised of qualified ECE's, ECA's, a Kindergarten teacher and many resource teachers. Our team is allocated to the following classes:
 

  Director:
Wendy van Eck has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Anthropology and Applied Anatomy from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and a Business Diploma from the University of Toronto. Wendy completed her ECE in 2006 and has been working with children for nine years. First Aid/CPR certified.

  Infant Classroom:
Ji Hong Guan has earned her ECE diploma from the Mothercraft Institute and has also worked at both the University of Toronto’s Early Learning Centre as well as the Campus Community Co-Op Daycare. First Aid/CPR certified.

Jessie Chen earned her ECA diploma from Mountain's Institute of Technology Canada and has five years of teaching experience. First Aid/CPR certified.

  Toddler Classroom:
Ane Spirkoska has earned her ECA equivalent and is about to complete her ECE with Seneca College. Ane has four years of teaching experience. First Aid/CPR certified. Antoinette Welechenko has been supplying for us since October, 2005. She earned her ECE diploma from Seneca College and has seven years of teaching experience. First Aid/CPR certified.

  Preschool Classroom:
Tannaz Sabzeh has earned her ECA equivalent but is working toward her ECE at Seneca College. Tannaz has four years of teaching experience. First Aid/CPR certified.  
TBA Staff

  Kindergarten Classroom:
Svetlana Aboutalipova has her Kindergarten and Elementary Teaching Diploma from Pedagogical College, Vladivostok, Russia and has over sixteen years of teaching experience. First Aid/CPR certified. Anna Pulciani earned her ECE diploma from George Brown College and has twelve years of teaching experience. First Aid/CPR certified.

  Float Staff:
Hui Qinn Li is an ECA and has 2 years of teaching experience. She is First Aid/CPR certified.
 

 
  Resource Teachers:
 
Music - Sunnyside Day Care provides ORFF and Royal Conservatory level music instruction from very qualified music teachers once per week.
 
Dance / Movement - James Patterson of World Play Theatre will be teaching drama and movement every Wednesday afternoon as of September 13th.
 
Sports Coach - Mike Perozak teaches sport instruction through his own company SportPlay. Mike also developed and ran the youth development program for the Hamilton Olympic Club and established a Run, Jump and Throw Program for the City of Hamilton Recreation Department. He also coached and organized numerous exchange games including the Canusa Games and the International Children's Games.
